Official: Russia not to alter economic plan regardless of situation
MOSCOW, Feb 26 (PRIME) -- The Russian Economic Development Ministry will not change its economic plan even if conditions change, Deputy Minister Nikolai Podguzov said at a meeting of a commission for labor relations control on Friday.
“After the approval, the government’s plan will not be changed regardless of changes in economic conditions,” Podguzov said. “But if the budget plan fulfillment is better than expected, some measures can be strengthened from the point of view of finances.”
The government approved a 2016 economic plan amounting to 250 billion rubles of state investment but according to a letter seen by newspaper Kommersant, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said that available funds amount only to 120 billion rubles.
Deputy Economic Development Minister Oleg Fomichyov argued that the sources of funds must not necessarily be found at this stage.
